Cherish Watoto Learning Centre

One major programme of Cheryl’s is a registered pre & primary learning centre referred to as Cherish Watoto Learning Centre which offers equal access to education among the children rescued. The field of child development broadly refers to the increase in abilities, physical, intellectual and social through which a child progresses. Twelve hardworking and qualified teachers hired are at the centre throughout to work with children. There is a conducive learning environment, library, computer lab and more resources that make children’s education enjoyable.
Through well-wishers and individual child sponsors, our students who complete primary school are supported to join good high schools, colleges and universities across the country

Mentorship and Talents Development

It is essential to engage children in extra-curricular activities and with most of them having passed through various kinds of abuse, we continue to offer guidance and counseling to these vulnerable children and their parent(s)/guardians who have hardly been hit by the HIV/AIDS scourge.

Children need to play which we consider most at Cheryl’s! Our children engage in sports, creative arts & crafts, music and computer all these geared towards identifying and nurturing talents.

Children rescued continue to be supported through Foster care/Outreach programme where we place parentless children in relatives’ families and guardians who give them unconditional love, care and strengthen family ties.
